Building Our Future
A Place For Everyone

Our Home Needs Your Help

For 175 years, we’ve been in the city for good – at Saint Luke’s, we offer our community a helping hand by hosting recovery groups, lifting up the performing arts, training interns, and providing a place of solace and inspiration for all. Our Soup Kitchen serves over 25,000 hot meals each year to any and all in need.

But time and the elements have taken their toll. The exterior of our 100 year old church has aged, and our slate and flat roofs need to be replaced. Our façade and all the brick walls must be repointed. Our front steps and sidewalk require repair. Now, we need your help to restore and protect our historic building to ensure these programs continue for generations to come.

The time has come for us to take the next faithful step.

The Plan for Restoration

Preserve our main building through repairing and replacing all roofs and installing waterproofing

Protect our infrastructure by addressing water ingress issues and reinforcing steel columns

Restore our historic façade to ensure structural soundness through repointing all exteriors

Our Goal: $2.39 Million

St. Luke’s is a modest community of faith, made up of artists, musicians, actors, hospitality workers, health care workers, teachers, professionals; committed to our neighbors, to serving those in need, and to making a difference. This project is bigger than our capacity, so we are turning to our community.

A Celebration of Generosity

Generosity: The Heart of St. Luke’s

Throughout our history we have welcomed and engaged people to create a positive future, personally and for the community at large through our generosity. Through world wars, urban challenges, pandemics, and the ever-changing landscape of Midtown, St.Luke’s has stood as a beacon of light—a place of gathering, open welcome and community. St. Luke’s is not only a sanctuary, it’s a connecting place for many—worshipers, creatives, neighbors, workers, immigrants, students, professionals, and tourists.

Lukans are generous even in places you might not notice—next time you visit us, look closely and see if you can spot some of these familiar items. Every time we gather for worship and fellowship, we are surrounded by the generosity of Lukans over the past 100+ years.
