After a break for staff vacations and deep cleaning, the Soup Kitchen resumed today with a healthy attendance of 100 meals served. Thanks to staff and volunteers!
The Soup Kitchen is taking its annual break to allow for staff vacation and a thorough deep cleaning of kitchen and storage areas. It will reopen on Tuesday, September 12.
As part of our commitment to the work of Koinonia, the ELCA’s outdoor ministry in this area, we are designating it as our congregational mission outreach through September 30 of this year. In this 500th anniversary year of the Reformation, we celebrate another event which was fundamental for the Lutheran church. The Augsburg Confession, the central Lutheran confession written by Luther’s colleague Philipp Melanchthon, was presented to Emperor Charles the Fifth on this day in 1530. Join us!
