Saint Luke’s Benefit

Since Saint Luke’s is situated on Restaurant Row in the heart of the Theater District, many of our parishioners are aspiring, as well as professional, singers, dancers, musicians, and actors. There is a long tradition of these talented performers coming together once a year to produce a show to benefit our Soup Kitchen.  The show has taken a variety of forms.  Since 2010, it has been produced as  the Urban Lutheran Home Companion, a take-off on A Prairie Home Companion, complete with “It’s Been a Quiet Week at Saint Luke’s”. The variety show is written, directed and performed by our members who bring their exceptional talents and commitment to our mission to put together an entertaining evening of song and dance.

It  usually takes place in the autumn of the year in our own theater, after a champagne cocktail hour and catered buffet dinner.Soup Kitchen Benefit 2015
